Snooki’s Business Partners Slap Her With $7 Million Lawsuit
We had the highest hopes, really we did, that Nicole Snooki Polizzi would take over the fashion and retail worlds with all of her various plans to make shoes and clothes and bags and fuzzy slippers. And then SRG Ventures, the company that was going to help her oversee her burgeoning empire, got mad at her and slapped her with a gigantic lawsuit.
Footwear News reports that SRG is taking Polizzi to court for negotiating with other licensing companies while failing to live up to her end of the various deals it presented to her. The SRG suit comes in response to a suit Polizzi herself filed in October, “seeking to terminate their agreement on the grounds that SRG had failed to live up to the financial terms of the deal.”
Nothing like the holidays to bring out the litigiousness in people. While the people at SRG won’t comment on the case, Snooki’s representatives are ready and raring to go with this case.
“Ms. Polizzi disputes SRG’s version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court.”
No court date has been set, but we’re looking forward to seeing who wins this case — and whether or not this will put a damper on Snooki’s inevitable future brand.
