Licensing Company Strikes Back After Snooki Files Lawsuit
Snooki‘s licensing company isn’t making her enough money, so the Jersey Shore star wants out.
Last month Snooki filed a complaint to end her partnership with SRG Ventures. According to Page Six: “Snooki’s lawyers allege in court papers that SRG ‘failed to secure’ royalty guarantees of at least $250,000 and a license from a major retailer for another $250,000, as the contract called for. It also says the SRG didn’t bring in ‘five licenses approved by [Polizzi].’”
Now SRG is preparing a counter-suit that will claim they did in fact meet those benchmarks, and that Snooki breached her contract. How so? By lying about trademarks she owned, and by turning down a fragrance deal through SRG and then going after the deal on her own. SRG claims it “still loves Snooki”, but it looks like this could get messy.
