Stella McCartney To Receive An OBE

Stella McCartney had a great year, what with designing the British team’s Olympic uniforms, dressing Kate Middleton, and winning major accolades at the the British Fashion Awards. Well, 2013 is looking just as good as it’s been announced that she’ll be receiving an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire award, or also known as an OBE.

McCartney, along with 71 other people such as artist Tracey Emin, were added to Queen Elizabeth‘s annual New Year Honours, which is a list presented on January 1 of the new year’s honorees. She’ll be given the award in a ceremony in 2013, and let’s hope she wears a quirky fascinator like Kate Winslet.
