Stephanie Pratt Takes It Off For PETA

We have a love/hate relationship with reality stars. There are the Whitney Ports and the Lauren Conrads (love, love) and then there are the Heidis and the Stephanies‘s (scared of, hate).
Stephanie Pratt has always seemed to think she was more famous than she actually is. When all you’re known for is being Spencer Pratt‘s sister or getting fired from People’s Revolution, things can’t be that great for you. And then there are the uber unclassy DUI’s and constant drug and alcohol-related debacles. We wanted to like you, Stephanie, but you make it so hard.
Stephanie wants to design bags. We first met her when she had a class with Lauren Conrad at Fashion Institute of Design And Merchandising, but her fashion sense is questionable at best. Sometimes you have to close your eyes and wish she would just take off that dumb headband that spans her forehead.
It seems now we’re getting more than we’ve bargained for. Our wishes have come true. Pratt is taking off her LA trashtastic clothes. But unfortunately, she’s taking them all off for a Be Nice To Bunnies PETA campaign. I guess PETA thought their Bethenny Frankel shoot did so well, they may as well throw another reality star into the mix.
But unlike Bethenny, Pratt won’t be a billboard star — she’ll be the face for an iPhone application that will help shoppers stay informed and up-to-date on which companies are kind to animals. The application will have a database composed of all cruelty-free companies so you won’t make a decision that goes against your values.
“I think it’s really important for people to be informed consumers,” Stephanie said of her participation in the ad campaign. “I only wear fake fur because I don’t believe in skinning animals for fashion.”
While we can’t disagree with her statement or her involvement with the campaign — it’s actually one of the only seemingly genuine things we’ve seen the girl do — we must express our confusion: Dear PETA, why Stephanie Pratt?
