Karl Lagerfeld’s “Story Of Fashion” Released On DVD
In 1987, Karl Lagerfeld narrated a three-part series on fashion’s illustrious history for A&E. “The Story Of Fashion” has now been reissued as a DVD set, selling for $49.99.
The NY Times‘ Cathy Horyn writes:
“They are still pretty interesting and informative, if dated in places. Of course, the designers look astonishingly young. Mr. Lagerfeld, without his many rings, discusses everything from French court clothes to Mary Quant, and there are some fascinating bits with people such as the late illustrator Antonio Lopez.”
We tried to dig up some clips of the series but could only find this one, which actually makes it seem kind of bland.
But we won’t knock it until we’ve seen it. Have you?
