Tavi Has Her First Kiss, Spills The Details To New Mag

Most teen celebrities boast of their first on screen kisses with some hot, fresh faced, teen heartthrob. But Tavi isn’t your ordinary teen celebrity. So no doubt, the story of her first kiss will be very different from that of, let’s say, Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen.

Awkward and precious, a girl’s first kiss is a momentous occasion. What you wear, what type of lip gloss you decide to put on, what perfume you spray yourself with — all of these things become huge decisions when hanging out with a potential first kiss. And now we’ll be able to know all about it.

In a new ‘zine titled First Kiss, Marisa Meltzer and Elizabeth Spiridakis gathered stories from people like Lesley Arfin, the former editor-in-chief of the now folded Missbehave magazine, and the lovely Miss Tavi Gevinson.

Stories about first kisses tend to include the whole rainbow of emotions that we associate with formative adolescent experiences. They’re awkward, sweet and often, unintentionally hilarious. For their one-off zine, First Kiss, Marisa Meltzer and Elizabeth Spiridakis collected accounts of first kisses and they’ve invited some of the people behind their favorites to share their own kissing stories.

Tribeca’s 92nd Street Y will have a reading from the magazine later next month. While Tavi will not be in attendance — perhaps she’s at, you know, school — her reading is taped and will be played.

So who was Tavi’s first kiss with? What did she wear and how did she feel? We’ll have to wait till May 26th to fill you in, but whomever his was, we’re sure he was very well dressed.
