PHOTOS: Oprah And Her Iconic Lady Friends Rule The Butler Premiere
The Butler premiere was a sea of celebrities of the Hollywood and fashion variety, but let’s face it, it’s Oprah’s world and we just live in it. Looking the part, Oprah channeled Diana Ross so magnificently all she needed was a wind machine and ‘Upside Down’ on blast. Her big natural hair, a sparkly fitted Theia dress, and slinky heels made hubby Steadman the luckiest man on the red carpet. In addition to O, there was a slew of lady legends in attendance, from 75-year-old fox Jane Fonda in a sequined blazer and skinny denim to Debbie Harry, who wore a fantastic pair of retro butterfly sunglasses that could have totally appeared on a Blondie album cover.
Mariah Carey arrived in one her bedazzled slings looking more polished than we could’ve imagine. She wore a black body-con dress with a vintage-inspired scarf headband that was totally vampy, yet tasteful with her big diva hair. Of course, our second favorite what-the-hell-happened Nickelodeon star Nick Cannon arrived looking as if he stepped out of his ‘Me Sexy’ music video.
On the fashion front, Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley made the best pair at the premiere, with her in a fierce black and metallic midi dress and he in one of his signature oversized capes in a muted yellow. Then there was Georgina Chapman who looked as flawless as she always does in a frothy Marchesa confection with gold embroidery embellishment along the shoulders. Only she could make a mini-dress look that elegant.
Other standout looks included Minka Kelly in printed Sophie Theallet gown (which we presume was selected by her stylist Brad Goreski) and Naomi Watts looking effortless in a black Thakoon Resort 2014 jumpsuit. View all of the looks below, and let’s agree that the like a fine wine, Oprah just gets better with age.
