Whitney Port Confirms The City Has Been Canceled!

That’s right, folks. MTV‘s The City has been canceled, or so Whitney Port told Ryan Seacrest today.

Here are her exact words regarding the scripted quasi-fashion-related “reality” show: “As of right now it doesn’t really look like we’re doing it anymore.” Is it an option to move the show to anoher channel, a la Project Runway? “No, at this point it’s not.”

Say it ain’t so, Whit! We guess this will make filming during Fashion Week a non-issue. Speaking of, it sounds like Port will now have more time to devote to her clothing lines: ”I’m working on some other things. It’s okay — one door closes and another opens.” And if all else fails, at least she has that web series.
