UPDATE: Whitney Says The Rumors Aren’t True

Yesterday, we reported some very unsettling news. The City, Whitney Port‘s fashion driven reality television show, was being cancelled. Wait — no it’s not. Wait — maybe it is. The rumors were unending. Was The City being cancelled? Were producers actively looking to replace one of the cast members?

Thankfully, Whitney Port took to her personal website and to twitter to clear up at least one of the rumors. She wrote,

To my friends and fans,
I want to clear the air and let you all know that the rumors that have been circulating about The City being cancelled are NOT true! When I checked my Twitter and Facebook pages this morning, I was overwhelmed with your kind words and support. I am 100% committed to the show and thank you all for being the best fans! Now, let’s show our love for The City and rock this week!!! Tune in tomorrow night LIVE to MTV @10:30.

In addition she tweeted that “the rumors are NOT true.”

Phew. At the very least we know that we’ll be able to see Whitney and Roxy pimp out the reality star’s mediocre fashion label for another season.
