Just about everyone — from Marion Cotillard to Karlie Kloss to Bianca Balti — opted to bare their backs for today’s premiere of The Immigrant at the Cannes Film Festival. And yet, despite the inevitable lack of bras on the red carpet, there wasn’t a single wardrobe malfunction. High fives all around, stylists!
Cotillard wore a stunning, minimalist gown from the Dior pre-fall collection, stealing the show (as she should) with a staircase sweeping train. Kloss went for a flapper-esque feathered number that was far less dramatic, but a sweet look nonetheless. We adored the vintage-inspired silhouette of Balti’s fuchsia dress, but perhaps could have done with a different colored shoe and handbag. Olivia Palermo, meanwhile, bucked the trend in an embellished jacket, although the all-gold look kind of had us thinking she has just traipsed off the catwalk from last night’s amfAR fashion show.
