The Zoe Report: All Hail McQueen

I could not imagine letting London Fashion Week pass without paying tribute to the late Alexander McQueen, who was a London Town native. Undeniably a genius, he produced beyond collections season after season, capturing the hearts of everyone in the fashion set with his impeccable, one-of-a-kind creations. While his name will live on under the direction of Sarah Burton, it is his final designs—today’s Studs Leather Jacket is just one example—that will always remind us of his extraordinary talent.

Just like every other McQueen conception, I am left open-mouthed over this belted bronze leather jacket. Printed and embossed with a stud effect, then finished with antique gold hardware and zip detailing, it is an investment piece that is truly fit for a queen. Are you in love? If this jacket was in my closet—a girl can dream—I’d rock it with jeans and a tee, buckle boots and rock star sunnies…but if you fancy something a bit more feminine, I’d try the look with a lace dress and classic black pumps.
