This Former Pageant Queen is Now Modeling as a Man
Girl models might get paid more, but it turns out there are upsides to modeling as a dude: Your career doesn’t fizzle out when you hit your mid twenties. At least how it’s panning out for Elliot Sailors, the former beauty contesent from Tuscon, Arizona, who’s starting her modeling career afresh — as a man.
Sailors, now 31, told the New York Post yesterday that she started modeling as a male to prolong her career. The former Bacardi bombshell now binds her breasts, accentuates her killer jawline and gets her hair buzzed at New York’s Decatur and Sons barber shop to transform herself into a disarmingly gorgeous man.
Awesome Husband Award goes to Sailors’ other half Adam Santos-Coy, who apparently doesn’t mind that his wife is often mistaken for his gay partner. “He said he knew people would see me differently once I did it, but he didn’t realize how much people would see him differently,” Sailors tells The Post.
Guess there are advantages to not fitting into modeling’s pre-pubescent, alienesque schoolgirl stereotype. That’s a pre-makover Sailors just casually chilling with John Stamos below.
