Vogue Does Its Best To Tire Out A Shirtless Tim Tebow

And so Anna Wintour continues to cast her net over the sports world — one hunky athlete at a time.

The latest Vogue paramour is Tim Tebow, who is just kicking off his first season as the new quarterback for the New York Jets. Like Ryan Lochte, Dwyane Wade, and Amar’e Stoudemire before him, Tebow posed for the lens of photographer Annie Leibovitz for the October 2012 issue sans shirt, his prodigious muscles accentuated by the Sisyphean pose he’s struck with that big ol’ tire. No word yet on who took care of hair and makeup, but we hope for everyone’s sake they kept their potty mouths in check.

The glossy isn’t just serving up eye candy, however. In the profile now up on Vogue.com, Tebow talks football (duh), fame, and what he looks for in an ideal girlfriend. And unlike the last athlete to grace the glossy’s hallowed pages, it’s a little more than just a pair of tight white jeans.
