TIME WARP: This Is What Victoria’s Secret Catalogs Looked Like In The ’70s

For your evening does of funny vintage things, check out this pre-Angel-era catalog from 1979, complete with blank facial expressions and furry slippers!

The gem is from the early days of Victoria’s Secret, full of weird printed carpets, dogs sleeping in corners, and fake skies. Basically it looks like a bunch of women awkwardly lounging around our grandma’s house in their undies. There is no fun rhinestone lingerie, no agressive Photoshop, and, of course, Doutzen, Candice, and Alessandra are nowhere to be found. It’s hilariously tacky, but it was the ’70s, and hindsight is always 20/20 when it comes to fashion. VS has come so far! (Careful: there’s a surprising amount of visible nips, so click with caution!)

I’d take 70′s skank over a fat as@ed Kardashian dumpster any day.
