WATCH: Mom Forces Scared 5-Year-Old To Get Eyebrows Waxed

Another week, another episode of Toddlers & Tiaras, and another horrifying act of child cruelty. While there were no cone bras this time, there was an absolutely terrified five-year-old whose mother forced her to get her eyebrows waxed.

Honestly, this video is actually quite difficult to watch. While it’s absolutely understandable that a child wouldn’t want hot wax poured onto her face and then ripped off by an uber-coiffed salon worker, in this case, the young girl had actually experienced a traumatizing wax prior to this incident, in which the wax was too hot and actually tore off her skin. Her mother admits this to the cameras while her daughter (who is screaming and shaking) is being cajoled by the salon worker with a bag of candy. “Normally I woulda just held her down and ripped it off,” she adds.

That said, the most terrifying part of this clip might be the end, when the mother turns to her daughter and says, “There! Doesn’t that look pretty?”

This is actually only the 3rd Styleite story that I wish I hadn’t read/watched. The other two were the toddler in the cone bra and the ad campaign with the 6-ish year old girls. I find it so disturbing when adults force sexuality on kids at all, but even more so when the children aren’t old enough to really understand what’s going on. Why on earth would that beautiful little girl need to have her eyebrows waxed? And what kind of salon would actually DO it? I really think kids need to be allowed to be kids. Sure, I played around with my mom’s heels and makeup, but no one was making me do anything painful, or taking creepy pictures of me. I’d probably even have paraded around my house in a cone bra when I was little! But my parents had enough sense to let playing dress up be about PLAYING dress up. Kids grow up too fast as it is. However, I’m glad that Styleite is not only making this kind of thing public, but making it clear that they feel it is NOT acceptable. You guys do a great job!

Honestly, where is childrens social services in reports like this? And the last report, the little 2 yr old forced to wear that disgusting cone bra outfit? Surely social services can’t be sp blind they’ve not noticed the abuse these little “pagent” girls have to endure.
This is just another form of child abuse. It may not be a weapon, a strap or a switch, but it’s in the same league. It causes a child to experience unwanted pain. The poor thing is frantic as she’s afraid of the waxing, terrified of a past waxing gone wrong, yet the mother stands there like nothing in the world is wrong, and has the salon worker go ahead. Meanwhile one more truma memory has been added to the childs already too long list of horrible things she’ll never really forget.

Personally, I think the Mother & salon worker should be charged with child abuse. I also think the salon worker should have an added charge of bribing a minor. Bribery, especially bribing a minor that is not your child, is a criminal act in the United States.

    From bribery laws USA.

“A gift is not a bribe unless it is given with the intention of influencing the recipient’s behavior.”

In this case, the gift or bribe of candy was given with the intention of influencing the little girls behavior.

I will not watch this show. Just the previews sicken me. It’s apparent from the articles you’ve posted that these parents (I use this term loosely, maybe ‘handlers’ would be more appropriate) are not mentally equipped to responsibly raise a child. The child is just a vessel for them to live their warped fantasies thru. Charges of child abuse or bribing a minor would not end the insanity as they think there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. What these parents need is some serious psychological counseling along with professional parenting classes. Maybe we should buoycott TLC until they remove this show from their lineup.

    This is child abuse.

The kid says “no” clearly. And cries in pain.

We’re lucky to get this on tape. This is probably the tip of the iceberg. What else goes on in this household?

Where was this filmed? I’d be happy to call the D.A.

As the mom of a child with serious health issues, a child who has to go though many painful procedures, I find it disgusting that this “mother” would purposely hurt her child
I would love to spend 5 minutes alone with this broad
    Where
Is child protective servicex? This is abuse!

Ur too ignorant to realize the phony assss life you live. In fact, you are even more ignorant to make yourself think that you are actually happy. The mother is a victim of american society, and the daughter is just now starting to try and duplicate the miserable life of the mother to a higher degree. With the way the world is changing and the childs ability to have access to soo much information, I do believe that there are hope for children like these to be able to come to grips and see that there is alot more to life that putting on some beauty show day in and day out and ultimately compete with other children that in all reality are no different than them.

You disgusting hag, doing that to your little girl. You call that beauty? I’ve got news for you sweetheart, that’s child abuse. Why don’t you go and get a brazillian done on yourself and lock yourself away from that poor little girl, she deserves a better mother than you. What kind of values is she going to grow up with? You disgust me.

Its absolutely amazing that parents and most likely mothers more than fathers are this clueless. At some point they need to inspect their own imperfections instead of focusing so much on their children’s. Its GROSS.

  • Meg

This is disgusting. The mother should be reported to child services. I’ve never watched the show but I’m assuming this was done in a salon..if so the woman performing the waxing should have a license to do so. No one in their right mind would risk their professional license to wax a screaming, terrified child!

  • Vicent50

Whoever the F*** started this show is a child pedophile and should be arrested.

I am appalled!!!!!!!!!!!! This is abusing defenseless children. This child needs to be in protective services…where was this at because I will call. This is horrible. It is child abuse!

  • >_>

    That mother is disgusting

  • Toiletpaperpeople

My mom bleached me for years because she felt that dark hair on my legs was gross and disgusting. As a child I didn’t know any better and came to feel that she thought I was gross and disgusting. As a result of her abuse, I suffered bleaching burns all over my body. This along with other methods of perfection seeking on her part inspired me to write the book Toilet Paper People and I hope some of these perfection seeking mom’s read it and rethink their actions.

Child abuse. Heinous, destructive child abuse.

What about if I (a 28 year old guy in MN) did this to a neighbor’s girl… would it be alright?  No, it wouldn’t be… so what makes it alright if it’s my daughter (not that I have any kids… but the laws should be the same)?  A mother/father should face the same judgement/judging as a child abuser/sexual abuser in any state for trying to make their child “more beautiful” so the kid wins the pageant and ultimately wins the parent(s) money.
Any kid who goes through something like this (whether willingly or not… even if the kid is willing to get botox or whatever, the kid must have been influenced by the media/parents/whatever… they are every bit as guilty as the parents/entertainer/whatever), should be taken away from the parent for the parent having let the kid go through something as traumatic as having hair ripped out of their eyebrow.
Once the kid is 18, it’s their choice… until then, it’s the parent’s choice, and if the kid says “no” or “if you want” or something to that effect, the kid doesn’t understand, in which case, the kid doesn’t understand which is the same as an adult saying “no” in my book.
If “I” came over and asked your daughter if I could pierce her whatever (tongue, nose, eyebrow, whatever someone might find “attractive”) and the kid said “no” and I went ahead and did it, what would you (the parent of the kid) do to “me” for doing that to your daughter? At a bare minimum, I’d be in court, if not laying on the lawn full of buckshot or the nearest convenient alley beat to a bloody pulp for abusing a little girl… should it be any different for a mother (or a father) to do that to their own flesh and blood?

  • GuessWho

You know what I’d like to pour on that stupid mother?  Same thing I’d like to pour on woman doing the waxing.
