WATCH: Undercover Princes, Your New Favorite Reality Show

Capitalizing on America’s love of reality television and obsession with royalty, TLC brings us Undercover Princes and Undercover Princesses. This is fairly amazing.

Both of the series originally aired on BBC, but will now be shown stateside with Princes premiering on Jan. 31 and Princesses on Feb. 28. The concept is explained as such: “three single princes and princesses from around the world go undercover as locals in the UK in hopes of finding their true love to take back to their kingdom”. It’s actually kind of sweet! The princes and princesses share houses, and are also forced to be “normal people” who have jobs and do their own laundry.

The prince lineup includes Crown Prince Manvendra of Rajpipla (India), Prince Africa Zulu of Onkweni Royal House (South Arica), and Prince Remigius of Jaffna (Sri Lanka). The princesses are Princess Xenia of Saxony (Germany), Princess Aaliya of Balasinor (India), and Princess Sheillah of Buganda (Uganda).

There has never been a “Kingdom” in Sri Lanka’s North for thousands of years. There has never been any mention of any descendants of such “Kingdoms” either. The last “King” from the North of Sri Lanka was South Indian. This man pretending to be a “Prince” is nothing but a fake. Be careful – he might jus be a “Frog” in disguise!
