PHOTOS: 2012′s Most Underrated Red Carpet Moments

‘Tis the season for worst dressed roundups (and, of course, for least dressed roundups), and it seems like the same names, faces, and truly terrible gowns keep popping up wherever we look.
But even stars who are serial sartorial offenders can — and do! — get it right sometimes, and we’re here to give them a little bit of credit… at the very least for putting in some effort.
So, without further ado, here are our picks for best moments for worst dressed stars:

1. Kelly Osbourne
She may be a member of the Fashion Police , but the TV host gets a lot of flak for her own wardrobe. Sure, sometimes it's well-deserved, but we do love this one-shouldered dress and the fuchsia platforms she's paired it with.
2. Fergie
We know what you're thinking: 'I see London, I see France' and all that. But as far as we're concerned, this is infinitely better executed than Kristen Stewart's naked Erdem look.
3. Christina Aguilera
Thigh-high slits were the red carpet trend that would not die in 2012, but this is one iteration we can get behind. It probably doesn't hurt that you can't see the less-than-elegant dip-dyed tresses from this angle.
4. Nicki Minaj
We're kind of obsessed with the chartreuse color of this Monique Lhuillier number. Original wearer Julie Bowen even told Jay Leno that Nicki took the dress "to the next level."
5. Coco T
Ok, so Coco isn't always on worst dressed lists (you've just got to accept her for who she is, really), but we do want to recognize her Hollywood moment. Look at that ice! (And of course, that Ice.)
6. Ke$ha
It's all about the mixed prints, killer heels, and a bit of swagger.
7. Lindsay Lohan
The courthouse sidewalk may not be quite the same as a red carpet, but such has been Lilo's life in 2012. She looks chic in these shots, taken back in March, but hindsight is 20/20 and we know what happens next. Sigh.
