Blogging With Bangles: 5 Fashion Conundrums

How many times do we boast of solutions to some of the toughest fashion related problems? The problem of the sheer dress? We’ve got you covered (pun intended). Don’t know how to avoid acquiring those stubborn armpit stains? We have some solutions for you.

But we’re sad to say, there are some fashion conundrums that even we find impossible to solve. Here are five fashion problems that have left us stumped. We dare you to try and help us come up with a solution! And while you’re racking your brains with such thoughts, let us in on some of your unsolvable style related woes.

1. Sunglasses and Headbands– How do you wear them both? If you put the sunglasses on first, the arms of the glasses are pushed into your scalp, thus leaving you with a sore ear and possibly an unsightly marking. If you wear the sunglasses over the headband, you’re left with the arms of the sunglasses awkwardly sticking out like a sore thumb.

2. Clutches at any event requiring you to use your hands is impossible. You’re forced to hold a clutch with your hands, thus losing your ability to hold a glass, shake a hand, brush the hair from out of your face. Unless, of course, you choose to do the unthinkable and improperly place that bag under your armpit — and we don’t see that as a solution.

3. Underwear with short dresses, skirts, or in the case of Taylor Momsen, shirts. How do you wear underwear that provides full coverage but does not give you the dreaded Visible Panty Line? It’s impossible. Opt for a thong, and you’re left exposed in your mini. Purchase a pair of full coverage, classic underwear, and your left with an unchic VPL.

4. Bangles while blogging, or more generally, typing on your computer — It creates an awful clanging that is painfully annoying to those around you. Whether your 10 gold bangles hail all the way from India or you picked them up at your local mall, wearing them at anytime when your hands are in motion (a.k.a. all the time) is surprisingly noisy. We guess that’s yet another reason to opt for some Silly Bandz.

5. Gloves and Texting (or operating your iPod or any other technological gadget that requires your fingers). We know, we know. They make fingerless gloves. But if we’re wearing gloves to begin with, it probably means we won’t be wanting the tips of our fingers being exposed to the blustery weather . Texting while wearing gloves, or more difficultly, while operating an iPhone or iPod leaves our messages discombobulated and unreadable. But at least our hands are warm.

They actually do make gloves for touch screen phones! I think they’re called Dots Gloves but they are primarily targeted at men. boo.
