PHOTOS: Venus Williams’ Risqué French Open Outfit
We don’t normally cover sports on Styleite, but we make exceptions for a few fashionable cases like D&G’s underwear campaign featuring some nearly naked soccer players, or Zinedine Zidane’s ads for Louis Vuitton. And now we can add Venus Williams to that list, whose recent sartorial turn at the French Open left very little to the imagination.
For her match against Patty Schnyder, Williams donned a black lace and corseted mini-dress with red piping, but it wasn’t the dress that set tongues a-wagging, so much as what she wore under the dress.
Williams’ undergarments — in the form of sheer, skin-colored booty shorts — gave spectators the illusion that the tennis star wasn’t wearing, well, any undergarments. Unfortunately for us, the Associated Press caught the best example of this, which you can see here.

This isn’t the first time Venus has made onlookers wonder if she went commando. In January, she set the internet abuzz with a neon green, panelled dress which she paired with a sheer, skin-colored body-suit.
