What The Ladies Wore To The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is always a star-studded event, and this year did not disappoint.
Let’s start off by saying that a fall polo match in L.A. probably isn’t the easiest thing on earth to dress for, and some fared better than others. Most stuck with cream or jewel tones, which was both smart and seasonally appropriate. We especially liked Ashley Greene‘s bodycon dress, Alessandra Ambrosio‘s colorful maxi (which really suited her perfectly), and Lauren Conrad‘s ladylike polka dots. Also, we really loved the dress Kaley Cuoco was wearing, but felt that it would’ve been more at home at an springtime event.
And now on to those who did not rise to the occasion. Ellen Pompeo was our worst dressed, in a black-on-black T-shirt and zippered pants combo that just made us scratch our heads. Minnie Driver was right up there with her, wearing a true white frock that was an ill-fitting, wrinkled mess. Which raises the question, do you care about the “no white after Labor Day” rule? We think the dress was bad independent of the color, but something about the white didn’t feel right to us for this time of year. And whose look is your favorite?
