Victoria’s Secret Feels The Need To Photoshop Model’s Knee

Why Victoria’s Secret felt the need to photoshop Candice Swanepoel in their ad for last night’s fashion show is beyond us. Furthermore, why they felt the need to photoshop her knee and/or lower leg is even more insane. Fine, smudge out that wrinkle of skin that so bothers the art director. Or add some shadow to her already infuriatingly sharp cheekbones. But mangling her leg so that it resembles nothing so much as a strangely shaped blob of skin? That’s just a waste of time.

what they really need to focus on is her weird— really weird— pop of rib.  yikes.

i don’t get the mass idiocy of all these posts, particularly by jezebel. the form is actually natural.

    1. she has particularly long femurs for her height. 2. if you sit twisted over at an angle, the curve is what appears. the upper part is NOT perfectly straight. at the bent over angle, that’s how it goes. the visual illusion of being unnaturally straight is from a combination of the posture and they always use feathering+gaussian blurs for ads, causing the angle to be delimited. 3. her rear IS larger than those pics they posted because those were from months ago when she was skipping out on eating from a very busy travel schedule and everyone made a fuss on how skinny she was. they purposely told her to put on weight otherwise she was considered to be cut from VS productions.
majority of people haven’t studied anatomy and don’t understand digital editing in graphic design. moreover, candice has a supernatural body which would be even more confusing to the untrained eye.

None of these things are in question. Did you even look at the 2nd photo? There’s a BLOB there. If you think it’s normal for a girl sitting in that painful looking position to naturally gets a blob while sitting on one leg is normal… It’s not.
