Isabeli Fontana Channels Linda Evangelista For Vogue Paris

The June/July cover of Vogue Paris is here, and Emmanuelle Alt has chosen Isabeli Fontana as her cover girl. We love the super-saturated Mert & Marcus photo, but does Fontana remind you of anyone?

Yes, homegirl looks just like Linda Evangelista! Seriously! She also looks a touch provocative in her ruffled purple mini-dress and blingin’ cross necklace. Perhaps what’s most striking, however, is that she’s not looking straight at us. Instead, Fontana’s gaze is focused somewhere beyond the camera. This is unusual for a glossy cover!

     She does remind me of Linda E. but I think Isabeli is a little smaller (in frame, not skinnier-though she might be since model standards have gotten SO SMALL.) and prettier than Linda. I never was in the Linda E. fan club because I thought she was a conceited snot, along with Naomi Campbell and Christi Turlington. Now I think Christi is a nice person and has changed herself and matured. After her father died from lung cancer, she quit smoking and became an advocate of quitting. Also her commitment to yoga has changed her, it seems, as well.
