PHOTOS: The Fake Ads In W’s November Issue Are Insanely Clever

Well, well, isn’t W Magazine the cleverest in all the land? Next month’s issue has us all sorts of impressed thanks to a particularly brilliant Steven Meisel spread.

To be honest, “spread” is a misnomer. Fake advertisements photographed by Meisel (and styled by Edward Enninful) are scattered throughout the November issue. Brilliant! The “ads” themselves are great — Linda Evangelista shilling for shampoo, Karen Elson dominating naked, red-assed men, Eden Wood looking particularly creepy — but we’re more impressed with the execution. They’re embedded in the magazine among real advertisements, guys! SO COOL.
