WATCH: Styleite Talks September Issue Style on The Early Show

No one knows more about the September issues of our favorite fashion magazines than Styleite‘s very own senior editor Ruthie Friedlander. So who better to get up at the crack of dawn and take The Early Show‘s Erica Hill — and a good portion of America — through the latest trends from Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and the rest of the heaviest magazines in the business.

Ruthie explained how and why the September issues get so heavy, and that the trends they contain aren’t strictly limited to clothes that get photographed; three of the biggest books have women on the cover who are over 40.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a decent segment if we didn’t learn a lesson or two about the clothes — key trends for fall include a lot of military and safari looks, animal prints and clothes that hark back to the 50s and 60s.
