10 Important Things We Learned Last Week: July 3-9

1. Nobody liked Dior couture sans Galliano. The couture collections for Chanel, Armani, Givenchy, and more got far better receptions, though Anna Wintour banned the Vogue staff from attending the Alaïa show.

2. Beyoncé‘s live performances are a revelation, but her music video was a disappointment.

3. In an interview, Nicola Formichetti said he refuses to work with fat people. He then denied this was the case.

4. A saleswoman at Harrods was forced to quit after refusing to wear makeup. Somewhat relatedly, your lipstick has bugs in it.

5. Terry Richardson got behind the scenes of Kate Moss‘s wedding. The wedding, by the way, has made Moss’s 14-year-old sister a sought-after model prospect. Plus, Vogue UK totally stole American Vogue‘s thunder by having Moss front its August issue.

6. Justin Bieber can’t sell magazines, and Pippa Middleton snagged her first cover.

7. The Marc Jacobs sexual discrimination lawsuit rages on, but American Apparel settled its racial discrimination case for $343,000.

8. Riccardo Tisci + Kanye West + Jay-Z = AWESOME.

9. Kate Middleton wants kids, and she and Prince William acted out every Canadian cliche during their trip to Canada. They even wore cowboy hats! And Kate had a wardrobe malfunction! And now they’re in the States!

10. Taiwan has dedicated an entire day to Lady Gaga, who happened to wear a really kickass outfit in Australia.
