Like.com Launches New Q&A Site With Celebrity Style Experts
Have you ever bought a really trendy piece for your closet, only to let it sit there because you have NO idea how to wear it (we know we’re guilty)? Have a last minute event or birthday party to go to this summer and are totally lost on what’s appropriate? You’re in luck!
Like.com, a heaven for online shoppers, has added an addition to their already fashionable family of Weardrobe and Couturious — a new Q&A fashion site. WhatToWear.com features celebrity stylists like Nicole Chavez (who dresses Scarlett Johnasson and Rachel Bilson), Susan Joy (Alexa Chung‘s stylist), and Tammy Eckenswiller (Mary Kate Olsen and Rihanna), alongside Glamour magazine experts and fashion bloggers to help you out in moments of fashion crisis. In addition, you can go on the site and answer questions and build up your credibility as a future stylist.
The site works similarly to Facebook and Twitter, letting you post questions that appear in a feed, follow topics and other questions asked. The best part is, you get answers in real time — no waiting for next month’s magazines to come out telling you what to wear with your new summer clogs.
“This is an exciting partnership,” Cindi Leive, editor-in-chief of Glamour said in a press release. “Nobody understands the intersection of fashion and technology better than Like.com, and when it comes to fashion, no one gives real-life tips better than Glamour. We’re thrilled to bring the two together to help women solve their style dilemmas––large and small.”
Its most unique element is the site’s visualization tool. When someone answers a question, you have the option to add products from various shops on the web, or full looks from Weardrobe and Coutorious and attach them to the answer so shoppers in need know exactly what they’re looking for.
WhatToWear.com launched yesterday, so let the asking begin!
