Whitney Port Is Launching a Lower-Priced Line!

Don’t have enough Whitney Port in your life yet? Then good news! The former Hills star turned industry darling turned designer has just announced she will be launching a new lower-priced line, WE by Whitney Eve. Port has been enjoying a comfortable cushion of success with her first apparel line, Whitney Eve, which she launched in 2008. Last season she even took to the runway and held her first official show during New York Fashion Week Fall ’12.

Now, with the Fashion Week shows over Port seemed to have some time on her hands (in between appearing as a judge on Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model alongside Nigel Barker, that is) and decided to expand into a more mainstream market. She teamed up with national retailer Apricot Lane boutiques to create WE by Whitney Eve, which will be sold exclusively at Apricot Lane. The line will premiere with a five-piece collection for spring with a larger roll-out planned for fall. The spring line will include chic basics and work ready staples such as a black catsuit, a cream skirt suit, a navy dress and a cream blouse, each priced under $200. So cheers to Whitney Port for crawling out from under the MTV umbrella and making a name for herself. Which reminds us, whatever happened to Lauren Conrad?

“Which reminds us, whatever happened to Lauren Conrad?”

Seriously? Lauren has 2 successful clothing lines – one lower priced line that sells at Kohls and her personal line ‘Paper Crown’ which is in boutiques and department stores world wide. She is also partnered up for an eco friendly line wihich will be out in the spring.
If that’s not enough she runs two websites http://thebeautydepartment.com/ & http://laurenconrad.com and is a bestselling author. Her next 2 books (The Fame Game & Lauren Conrad Beauty) will be out in a month or so.
