Whitney Port Is Making Her Maxim Debut

It looks like we only have a few more hours left to call Whitney Port our favorite Girl Next Door. The seemingly shy and somewhat modest City girl has announced that she’s following in the footsteps of pretty much every other reality star out there: she’s posing for Maxim.

Ready to “channel her sexy side,” Port blogged:

“I’ve always been classified as the cutesy, girl next door type, so doing this shoot will give me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and show people an entirely different side of me. I’m definitely nervous but I know that this will be an incredibly empowering and liberating experience. Those thousands of pushups and sit-ups better pay off! Maxim, here I come!!!”

Whitney posted the below photo — a practice shot — and we have a feeling she won’t have too much trouble invoking her sexier side. We just hope Maxim doesn’t turn her into too much a sex bomb. We’d prefer a retro pin-up Port than a Montag-ified version.
