Will And Kate To Spend Christmas With Middletons, Not Royals
Instead of spending the holidays at Sandringham, the estate in eastern England where royals traditionally spend Christmas, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge will be with the Middletons this year in the village of Bucklebury.
This will hopefully mean a nice, quiet family holiday for the couple following Kate’s multiple hospitalizations due to severe morning sickness. And apparently the Middletons have some hilarious holiday traditions — in a recent article that appeared in Britain’s Spectator magazine, Pippa wrote:
“The Middletons’ Christmas should be blissfully calm. We’re good at keeping each other’s spirits up. [My father] buys a new costume each year and typically gets a bit carried away – a couple of Christmases ago, he appeared in an inflatable sumo outfit.”
If only we could find photographic evidence of Michael Middleton dressed as a sumo wrestler. It would almost be as great as Kate dressed up as an adult baby! Anyway, the couple’s absence has been approved by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and we assume they will return to business as usual following the New Year.
