This Is What A $3.8 Million Purse Looks Like

We like purses as much as the next fashion-obsessed blog, but a bag that costs $3.8 million is just not something we can get behind. Of course, the “1001 Nights Diamond Purse” made by Mouawad isn’t necessarily meant for consumption, so much as it is a way to say, “Hey, we made the world’s most expensive handbag! The Guinness World Records people say so!”

The purse is currently on display at a mall in Dubai, and consists of 4,517 diamonds totaling 381.92 carats; there are yellow diamonds and pink diamonds and plain old colorless diamonds. And it took 10 people a combined 8,800 hours to make. Crazy, right? By the way, Mouawad also made the world’s most expensive bra — Victoria’s Secret $11 million “Very Sexy Fantasy Bra.”

In celebration (or something?) of this accessory accomplishment, we’ve put together a list of other things $3.8 million can buy you. Servicey!

Obviously there are better things to do with $3.8 million, however, this will make a stunning display. Also great show of their skills.

    Well done !!

I think I’ll take the 3.8 mil in cash and decide how to spend it, altho’ one of each of those listed in the post would be a great first step in buying power — of course, after I donate $1.5 mil to worthwhile charities (really!).
