Tavi, Alexa Chung, Lena Dunham, And More Lip Sync For Women’s Rights

And here we have a video that promises a whole lot more girl power than tonight’s Presidential Debate (though, who knows, maybe fuchsia will make a second appearance!)

In the name of standing up for women’s right’s — and, yes, standing against the Republican Party‘s professed plans to defund Planned Parenthood and overturn Roe v. Wade — many, many awesome ladies contributed self-shot videos of themselves and their friends, kids, and pets lip syncing along to Lesley Gore‘s seminal feminist tune “You Don’t Own Me.” Gore kicks off the clip with a short “I approve this message,” and then friends young and old join in.

But not just any friends: Tavi Gevinson, Alexa Chung, Lena Dunham (wearing an “I’m With Her” t-shirt and jamming with a cute little kid), Kate Nash, Sia, Sarah Sophie Flicker, Zoë Kravitz, Lisa Mayock, and Sophie Buhai all lend their support to the cause.
