Pierre Bergé Applauds Changes At YSL, Hates Stefano Pilati
Not everyone is upset about the changes going down at Yves Saint Laurent — Pierre Bergé is all about it.
Saint Laurent’s partner told WWD he’s excited for Hedi Slimane‘s plan to return the house to its roots, which includes a name change to Saint Laurent Paris. And in case you were wondering, he apparently hated Stefano Pilati:
“I’m very happy. Anything that makes the house more Saint Laurent is welcome. I am happy that Stefano Pilati is gone, just as I was happy when Tom Ford left.”
Burn, dude. He also approves of Slimane moving YSL’s creative studios from Paris to Los Angeles: “The creative studio is in a designer’s head, it resides within the person. Hedi lives in Los Angeles. He should be left to do fashion in a city he likes.”
