Say what you will about Zooey Deschanel‘s twee brand of Manic Pixie Dream Girl. The actress-singer-blogger-crafter knows how to poke fun at herself.

Last night Zooey hosted Saturday Night Live, and our favorite sketch was undoubtedly “Bein’ Quirky With Zooey Deschanel” in which Abby Elliott plays a pitch-perfect Zooey and Zooey plays a pitch-perfect Mary-Kate Olsen. Oh, and Kristen Wiig plays a pitch-perfect BJÖRK! There’s trash repurposing and knitting. And next week’s guests are “Chloë Sevigny and an American Girl doll”.
