5 Songs to Survive Father’s Day Weekend

We've got some tunes to get you through a family filled weekend.

It’s Friday, and you know what that means — cranking up the tunes and… going home for Father’s Day? Don’t worry, we’ve got some great summer jams to pull you through all of the golf and Bear Grylls references.

Song # 1- “Take me Home” – Brother Ali
Would you really rather stay at home and drink sangria than visit the parents on Sunday? Listen to this, and you might just convince yourself that you’re excited to sleep in your childhood bedroom.

Song # 2: “Da Doo Ron Ron” – The Crystals
Okay, so you probably weren’t alive in 1963. But doesn’t this song somehow make you feel nostalgic? At the very least, your Mom will coo over the high school boys she danced to this song with. (Before your Father came along, of course.)

Song # 3: “Something Good Can Work” The Twelves Remix
This song is perfect for that moment when you convinced yourself that you would go to yoga with your family, and yet somehow can’t seem to get yourself out of bed. I’m not the only one who needs a wakeup motivation playlist, right?

Song # 4: “My Suit & Tie Life” D.veloped Live Remix
You thought “Suit and Tie” couldn’t get better? You thought wrong. You thought your Dad would help with cleaning the dishes after Father’s Day dinner? You also thought wrong.

Song # 5: “Comme un Enfant” Yelle remix
Are you feeling fancy this weekend? Maybe you’ll go to an art exhibit with Mom tonight!
