Abbey Lee Kershaw, big time model and BIG time street style crush (and, let’s face it, all around crush), is rumored to be kicking off her acting career with a role in the new Mad Max movie.
She follows in the footsteps of fellow model Agyness Deyn, who made her theatrical debut in February in The Leisure Society and Aussie Gemma Ward, who dropped off the runway radar in 2008 to pursue roles in The Black Balloon and The Great Gatsby.
Australia’s Telegraph has a “well-placed source” within the film who claims:
“Obviously it’s set in a post-apocalyptic world, and women, especially beautiful women, are scarce, so men have been locking them up in cages. Abbey is one of them. She’s perfect.”
Fair assessment. The 24-year-old previously claimed that she never found modeling too difficult because she “was always as a child imaging being part of another world. I spent a lot of time in my bedroom, dancing around to music and talking to things that weren’t there.”
So acting is just the logical next step, yes? We haven’t seen her act, but if this “source” is to be trusted, we think she’ll do just swimmingly in the role.
