A Super Bowl commercial would be a great job for any supermodel, but Adriana Lima isn’t just any supermodel. Which is why she’s not just starring in one Super Bowl commercial during this year’s game. She’s starring in two.
The Huffington Post reports that Lima, the noted Victoria’s Secret Angel who’s done work for tons and tons of companies inside and out of the fashion world, will star in commercials for carmaker Kia and flower delivery site Teleflora when the game airs on Feb. 5. (Meanwhile Gisele, who’s married to the guy quarterbacking one of the teams in the game, will star in none.)
Kia says its commercial will be its “wildest” ever, with Lima waving a checkered flag and not wearing very much. Teleflora, on the other hand, says it will use Lima to remind the millions of men watching the game that Valentine’s Day is coming, and that they should probably order roses or something, and soon.
We’re glad Lima is getting work (because, you know, it’s hard out there for all of us), but we find it a little odd that two companies hired her to do work that’s going to be seen by the exact same audience on the exact same day. Didn’t she sign a non-compete? Isn’t anyone afraid it’s going to look like Teleflora secretly owns a controlling share of the Hyundai Motor Group? Well, we guess not.
