Missed The McQueen Exhibit? You’ll Be Able To See It In London Soon

The Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met was seriously, seriously amazing. We gushed and gushed and gushed about Savage Beauty, and were sad to learn that it wouldn’t be shown anywhere else. But it looks like the demand was just too high for the McQueen folks to ignore. Rumor has it the exhibit will be shown across the pond in the very near future.

This makes a lot of sense! The house of McQueen is a British one, and London seems like a natural move for the show. After all, it was previewed at London’s Ritz Hotel last February. McQueen’s reps have released the following statement that we came across via the Daily Telegraph:

“Alexander McQueen appreciates the huge amount of interest the public has shown towards the Savage Beauty exhibition. We have been in discussion with a number of major venues in London for some time now however nothing has been finalised. Please be assured that an official announcement will be made the moment we confirm our plans for London.”

So, yes, this is really happening. But where? Our vote is for the Tate Modern (how sick would that be??), though we can imagine it being at the V&A. We’re already looking up airfare…
