We thought raiding Elizabeth Taylor’s archives would be the ultimate way to get our jewel fix, but we’re rethinking it now that we’ve feasted our eyes on the CFDA’s orgasmic collection of gems for its first ever jewelry showcase. The presentation features 19 pieces designed by the CFDA’s jeweler members, and was put together by Alcantara and Talya Cousins, jewelry consultant and former Senior Accessories Editor of W Magazine. The showcase’s objective is to provide a platform for the designers to grow their business, both in retail and editorial.
“The most impactful programs at CFDA start with our members. We are thrilled that Simon, with Talya’s support, is working with us,” said Steven Kolb, president of the CFDA. “This platform for jewelry designers gives credence to the important influence jewelry has on fashion and respects the creativity of our designers.”
