André Leon Talley Considers Kim Kardashian an ‘Enchanting Angel’

Kim Kardashian ALTKayne West’s relationship with Kim Kardashian has turned the reality star into somewhat of a fashion darling. Although we are not entirely sure she has won over Anna Wintour, many among the fashion set continue to sing her praises. Riccardo Tisci called her the next Marilyn Monroe. Carine Roitfeld put her on the cover of CR Fashion Book, and now André Leon Talley has referred to her as one of his favorite muses.

The former Vogue editor-at-large is currently the artistic director for Zappos Couture’s online magazine ZeeCee ALT. He recently took the time write a lovely ode to Ms. Kardashian, and here is what he had to say:

Talley’s favorite watering hole is L’Avenue in Paris. This is really only relevant because he says that he likes running into Kim and he saw her there recently. We think it’s important information nevertheless.

“Always so down-to-earth, graceful, and totally cool, I’ve always found her to be charming,” he wrote of Kim.

Whether you love or hate Kanye, Talley makes a solid argument as to why the rapper is a great three-for-one deal. So let’s take a minute and go back to that time he saw her at L’Avenue…

“She had on the most beautiful Greta Garbo-style wrap coat from Max Mara. It was a huge, cozy, teddy-wool fleece of a coat that she told me Kayne West had personally selected and bought for her. How cool to have Kayne West as the father of your baby, partner, and personal stylist.”

He thinks she looks great these days.

“She knows how to rock a cropped sweater in gray with a slim, knee-grazing pencil skirt. It’s almost Jean Brodie, a schoolmistress naughty, but it’s cool whens she pairs the look with stilettos.”

We totally agree André. Talley also loved the floral-printed dress, designed by Tisci, she wore to the Met Gala last year. More importantly he genuinely seems to love everything about Kim.

“Kim is a businesswoman, mother, and icon. To me she is one of my favorite muses and one of my enchanting angels.”

Sounds like a modern love poem to us.
