Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, And More Head Uptown Post-Sandy

Like anyone who would prefer not to spend four days without heat, power, internet, or cell phone service, many fashionable folk from the blackout zone of sub-39th street Manhattan have fled uptown in the wake of Hurricane Sandy to seek shelter in warmer, brighter pastures. Page Six has the lowdown on which glamorous digs various designers, editors, and stars have chosen to while away the week while the rest of us rely on our generous friends with uptown addresses and a spare couch or two.

And hey, now that some of the subways are up and running, perhaps you might be interested in a drink at one of their bars? The Mark, apparently, is “buzzing” — plus we hear they make a mean Manhattan.

The Mark: Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld, Helena Christensen, Marc Jacobs, and Emma Stone

The Carlyle: Grace Coddington, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy, plus Derek Blasberg, Poppy Delevigne, Karlie Kloss, and Lily Donaldson, according to Blasberg’s Twitter.

The Lowell: Georgina Chapman

The Plaza Athenée: Sarah Jessica Parker

The Post also reports that Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise “stayed safe and calm by torchlight” at their Chelsea apartment, but we imagine that’s changed by now since most of their ‘hood is also sans-water and there’s no way Suri’s going four days without a bubble bath. It just wouldn’t be right.
