WATCH: Anna Wintour Chats With Colbert About The Met & Gay Marriage

Last night Anna Wintour swung by The Colbert Report to promote Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. It ruled.

Stephen Colbert made a worthy verbal sparring partner with Wintour, even starting off the conversation with an “all right, tough guy”. While they talked about the Met exhibit and whether fashion can be art, President Obama‘s historic gay marriage statement was also discussed. Wintour is, obviously, quite pleased:

“I am thrilled. There were tears in the office at Vogue today in the support of gay marriage. We’re thrilled about the president. I think it’s a long overdue endorsement, and we’re honored that he’s come forward finally.”

Then Colbert is all, “Well, I don’t really trust Prada because my understanding is the devil wears Prada.” And then Anna is like, “That movie was so last year.” And then she agrees to go with him to Long John Silver’s. Yes, these things really happened.
