Cara Delevingne and Michelle Rodriguez have been glued to hip-to-hip lately, but can they really be the next Thelma & Louise? The rumors circulating say they are indeed. The Sun is reporting that Rodriguez has been in talks about the remake of the cult classic since late last year.
According to The Sun’s source, “a few names have been mentioned as her co-star, including Kristen Stewart, Annalynne McCord and Leighton Meester – but Michelle is pushing for Cara.”
“She thinks she would light up the big screen and that the pair of them would be a huge hit together.”
Delevingne hasn’t been shy about voicing her acting aspirations. She has already appeared in a few films including the Amanda Knox inspired crime drama, The Face of an Angel, to be released later this year.
Her and Rodriguez have already made out at a Knicks game and had side-by-side IV drips, so obviously hitting the road after murdering a man who tried to rape one of them is the next logical step in their friendship.
However the Daily Mail is seriously concerned that 35-year-old Rodriguez is a bad influence on the young model, causing her to be reckless. Or more so than usual. We’ll assume that Rodriguez will play tough waitress Louise, who was originally portrayed by Susan Sarandon. Delevingne would make sense as the seemingly innocent, accidental killer Thelma. Plus, she is blonde like Geena Davis was when she first took on the role.
Doesn’t the hard partying Rodriguez seems like the type that would rather be taken dead than alive?
