I may be Italian, Armenian, and Irish, but looking a me you’d only believe the latter, which has made my relationship with bronzer a rocky one. Before this week, I was considering scrapping it from this summer’s beauty routine all together. However, when this Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Bronzer fell into my hands with claims that it was the little black dress of bronzers that would minimize pores and imperfections, I thought I’d give it a try so I could, at the very least, pretend I’d been to the beach once since last August.
When I took it for a test drive last night, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome: cheekbones like Pharrell, which is something I’ve been working on since Jay-Z’s Change Clothes video circa 2003.
First, unlike so many bronzers that have done me wrong, it did not turn my face orange thanks to its perfect hue for my fair complexion — brown with a reddish tone. I found that when I first applied it, I was a little heavy handed, but as soon as I lightly wiped off the excess layer, it was just the right amount of glow. The matte finish was the truely essential to giving my cheeks that cutting contour. As a bonus, it also has vitamins A, C, and E for antioxidants, and is fragrance- and oil-free.
I can confirm confidently that you’ll get as much wear out of this as that Theory LBD you invested in a few years back. Give it a try and see if you Get Lucky, too.
