United Colors of Benetton is no stranger to controvserial ads, considering last year’s UnHate campaign featuring world leaders kissing and going as far back as their Oliviero Toscani-lensed series from the ’80s which included a priest and a nun making out. And now they’ve just released the ad images for Spring 2013 and they’re, well, awesome.
The retailer chose nine “personalities…distinguished by their multiculturalism, cosmopolitan spirit and social commitment,” such as Sudanese stunner Alek Wek, transgender model Léa T, and Chris Brown lookalike Dudley O’Shaughnessy to front its spring ad campaign. The ads were photographed in Paris, and images from the campaign will be printed onto limited-edition tees that will be sold online and in-stores. All proceeds from the shirts will go towards supporting Benetton’s UNHATE Foundation.

this is some kind of spaceship or something.
