We’re barely two months into 2013, and already it’s metastasized into the Year of Beyonce. Fresh from singing the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration and still smoking from her amazing Super Bowl show (that literally set the stage on fire), the singer appears on her second Vogue cover, the very clutch March 2013 issue.
It’s a far cry from her recent scantily-clad GQ cover, but if anything, Beyonce knows how to play to her audience. The cover features Queen Bey in swept-up hair and a sculptural black and white Givenchy gown, her flawless features played up with warm and natural makeup. A peek inside the magazine reveals her clad in a series of classic and subdued couture pieces — a sultry printed bra and dressing gown ensemble, and a sheer white sleeveless blouse. It’s the perfect antidote to the thigh-baring leather ensembles she clomped around in for her halftime show, and demonstrates just how versatile she can be.
Who better to have smack dab on the front of the “Power 2013″ issue? (Especially since her last cover was the “Shape” issue. Yawn. We get it.) Let us know what you think.
