Brad Goreski, style director for celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, has announced that he will be leaving Zoe’s company, effective Oct. 1.
People StyleWatch reports that Goreski told Zoe about his decision a month ago, and that there’s no bad blood between them now.
“I love Rachel and she’s taught me everything I know,” Goreski, 33, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “But there’s a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar.”
It’s good timing for Goreski. He’s just finished season three of one of the most highly rated reality shows on television, he just had a profile in The New York Times, and he’s at the height of his relevance to men’s fashion.
Zoe said she’s sad to see him go, but plans to always be there for him. As for replacing him on the show and in her business, Zoe said there’s no one like Brad.
“No one’s ever going to be Brad to me,” she said.
No one’s ever going to be Brad to us, either. But as sad as we are to see him go, we can’t wait to see what he’ll do next. After working at Zoe’s breakneck pace for so long, there’s not much in the fashion industry that Goreski couldn’t handle. Stay tuned — we’ll be sure to update as soon as we find out more. In the meantime, what do you think he’ll do?
