There has been so much speculation about Bruce Oldfield being the lucky designer tapped to make Kate Middleton‘s wedding dress, everyone has sort of resigned themselves to thinking that he is indeed the chosen one. However, his appearance on Friday’s Good Morning American left us thinking otherwise.
It wasn’t anything he said that’s making us doubt his role in the royal nuptials, it’s the fact that he said anything at all. With all the secrecy surrounding wedding details (specifically the sartorial decisions), we can’t imagine the palace would allow Oldfield to be interviewed about the event on TV.
Oldfield told the morning talk show that Kate will wear two dresses — one during the ceremony and one after. He believes the ceremony gown will have long sleeves and that the blushing bride will indeed wear a veil. These aren’t terribly difficult details to surmise, but again, it’s hard to believe the dress’s designer would be allowed to share such information on air.
