Another #CandidlyNicole episode has come across the wires and this week Nicole Richie’s talking bangs, bobs, and becoming a power lesbian. Well, not really. After getting a haircut she can “live with” from pal Andy Lecompte at his eponymous West Hollywood salon, she sticks around to consult on his next client. (She is, apparently, the queen of braids).
Getting right into the confrontational chatter we’ve come to expect in our now-favorite web series, she takes on gender norms, again. This time saying to Andy as he tousles her already perfect ‘do, “Don’t you think that girls think they know how to get what they want, but they don’t?” This seems like a loaded question, but Andy saves the day putting it right back into context with an easy, “that’s why they have a hairdresser.” As his next client arrives, and sort of becomes Nicole’s client of a different kind, the conversation turns to a lightning-round hair-slash-therapy session, with such #CandidlyNicole gems as:
On spicing up your love life with a look change: ”Listen, you do a blunt bang, and no makeup, with just a red lip, and nothing else? And a little pierced nips?”
The haircut of summer: “Bobs and bangs!”
And finally, complimenting the client’s cut: “You look like me: perfect.”
See the three minutes of glory below, and then then head right this way for that red lipstick you’re suddenly needing.
