The Cannes Film Festival drew to an end this weekend, and oh, what a glamorous ride it’s been. From perfectly pared-down looks to full-on, look-at-me show-stoppers, the red carpet offerings have run the gamut, and this weekend’s Closing Ceremony and Zulu premiere was no different. Nicole Kidman cemented her Most Sophisticated title in an elegant Giorgio Armani column, while Laetitia Casta appeared to have sprouted wings, and one attendee got a little too carried away with her slit-up-to-there gown.
Mistress of Ceremonies Audrey Tautou ditched her usual MO of sweet, short frocks for a gorgeous custom Prada ball gown in scarlet and baby pink. Meanwhile, Asia Argento pretty much ensured that no one’s attention was on her dove grey silk by pulling a series of somewhat censorable gestures.
