We already know the girl can sing — or at least can wail somewhat audibly and lip-sync to Shania Twain while wearing a cat mask — but Cara Delevingne‘s debut album might be a lot closer than you think.
Last night the [insert your favorite occupation here] Instagrammed a selfie from inside the recording studio with Rihanna‘s producer Isabella Machine. “The beginning,” the caption reads, while a visibly excited Cara and Isabella hold up a bottle of throat-soothing honey. A consequent photo #regrammed from Grammy Award winning, Golden Globe nominated song writer and producer Kuk Harrell, and incorporating 3/4 of his legendary face, suggests that history is indeed in the making. Harrell co-wrote Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ and composed Beyonce‘s ‘Single Ladies,’ so yeah, NBD.
Earlier this year Cara said to W Magazine: ‘I want to make music, I want to act, I want to sing, I want to do something that doesn’t make my skin erupt.’ She’s also had a go at ‘I Want Candy’ for LOVE and swiped the mic from Rita Ora during the latter’s performance at Club DKNY in June. And if the Harrell thing doesn’t pan out, she can always try signing with Island Def Jam — seeing as she’s now tight with its most notorious artist.
